What should I know before taking Terbinafine ?
Do not use this medication if you are allergic to Terbinafine or to any other medicines such as:
- Allylamines
Do not take Terbinafine if any of the below conditions apply to you:
- expressed hepatocellular and renal insufficiency
- blood diseases
- tumors
- metabolic diseases
- pathologies of limbs vessels
- pregnancy, lactation
- infancy (up to 2 years of age)
Before taking Terbinafine, tell your health care provider about any other medicines you take or if you have any of the following disorders:
- elderly patients
- liver / kidneys disorders
If you are pregnant, plan to become pregnant, or breastfeed, you should take Terbinafine only under a strict control of your doctor. Terbinafine belongs to a pregnancy category B meaning that this medicine is not expected to harm the unborn baby. In small amount, Terbinafine passes into the breast milk, that is why it is recommended to stop breastfeeding while on the treatment.

Terbinafine may cause the following side effects:
- headache
- gastrointestinal tract: loss of appetite, indigestion, nausea, mild abdominal pain, diarrhea, flatulence
- mild skin reactions (rash, itching, rash)
- musculoskeletal reactions (arthralgia, myalgia)
- Terbinafine spray, cream or gel may rarely cause skin redness, itching or burning sensation
